Braille is the touch reading and writing system that utilizes raised dots to represent the print alphabet letters for persons who are blind or partially sighted. The Braille system also includes symbols to represent punctuation, mathematic and scientific characters, music, computer notation, and foreign languages. By using Braille symbols, the blind can review and study the written word.
